Welcome to Advent

The First Sunday of Advent, 2 December 1030 am

  • This is the period of time when we prepare for Christmas and the Feast of the Nativity
  • Holy Eucharist 830 and 1030 am
  • We'll light the first candle for Advent


The Second Sunday of Advent Sunday, 9 December 1030 am

  • This is a busy day
  • We tie the Story of Christmas into a Special Service as we take turns putting ornaments on our Christmas tree
  • It's really fun and helps ya get in the Spirit of Christmas
  • and .. don't miss the East City Lessons and Carols this afternoon *

  • Come on out for favourite carols and the beginning of the Story of Christmas
  • You're welcome to join in
  • Choirs will be here from Immaculate Conception. Mark Street, and St Luke's
  • And ... afterward there's refreshments and some very special treats of the season
  • Folks will be here from around East City
  • Come on over and spend some time with neighbours
  • Another great way to catch the Spirit of Christmas

The Third Sunday of Advent Sunday

16 December 1030 am


  • Today we have a great pageant where our children tell us the Story of Christmas during our morning Service
  • It is definitely fun and very moving
  • If you have young ones, we're sure they can take on a part with the others -- juts come along a bit early
  • There's a tradition to have a family lunch following the Service -- hot dogs and lots of goodies.

  • Readings for Advent IV to prepare to celebrate the Birth of Jesus tomorrow on the Feast of the Nativity

Christmas Eve

we have several Services on Christmas Eve


Holy Eucharist at St Mark's on Old Keene Road -- 2 pm (map)

Family Eucharist at St Luke's -- 4 pm

Candlelight Eucharist at St Luke's with choir -- 7 pm


Christmas Day

The Holy Eucharist for the Feast of the Nativity will be celebrated at St John's Church at 10 am

The Holy Eucharist will also be celebrated at St Matthew - St Aidan (Quiet said Service) at 10 am

There will be no Service at St Luke's
