Steady attendance at Strawberry Dinner
It was a great evening to enjoy baked ham, home-made potato salad and other fresh salads as the main course before the dessert feature. And for that dessert, the local strawberries were at peak ripeness -- lightly sweet and full of flavour. Cake and ice cream accompanied the special dessert.
More than 110 members of the local community arrived in a steady flow from 5 pm and after so that wait-times were minimal.
Thank you to all who attended. And special thanks and appreciation to each person in the Catering Group and to all others who helped -- many hands make for light work. Thanks to June and Kathy for heading things up. And thank you to those kind folks who donated the ham, strawberries, and ice cream.
Blessings to our friends and neighbours. By all the reports that were heard, it was a tasty and successful evening. We hope you enjoyed the food and fellowship.
Blessings to each of you.
