Saturday, 6 May was a rainy day outside but in the parish hall there were High Tea delicacies to be enjoyed in warmth and comfort. It was a great kind of day to join with ‘grandma’ in tasting the sandwiches and sweets as several young ladies did. The parish women had been hard at work all week in baking up a storm — no pun intended! There was also a multitude of delicious and dainty sandwiches to accompany the tea and coffee that was poured in high style for the guests. The home-made scones with Devonshire cream made everything totally authentic.
The photos tell the whole story. Be sure to check them out.
